- A classic navy suit doesn’t have to be single-breasted. It can also be a double-breasted style, like the six-on-two button configuration. This style features six buttons, with two functional ones, giving it a unique and stylish look. For some, this might be the perfect navy suit they’ve always envisioned.
Option 2: French Navy vs. Traditional Navy
- There are varying shades of navy to consider. For example, I’m wearing a slightly lighter French navy suit today, which has a more blue undertone compared to the deeper, traditional navy. Matching the shade of navy to your skin tone is crucial; it can make a significant difference in how you look and feel in the suit.

- Hopsack Fabric: The mannequin is dressed in a hopsack fabric, which has a bit of texture and a sportier feel.
- Plain Weave High Twist: My suit is made from a plain weave high twist cloth, offering a dressier appearance.
- Worsted Cloth: On the dressiest end, I have a worsted cloth suit, which has a bit of shine and aligns with the traditional suit image many have in mind.
