What I'm Wearing Today: Prince Of Wales Suit + Black Suspenders

Hey everyone! Today, I want to walk you through my outfit, highlighting the details that make it both stylish and functional. Let’s break it down piece by piece.

Prince of Wales Double-Breasted Suit

I’m wearing a Prince of Wales double-breasted suit that I designed myself. It features bold peak lapels that add a strong, distinguished look. The trousers are side-adjusted with big cuffs at the bottom, which gives them a classic yet tailored finish.

The cloth itself is a heavyweight 550g fabric, making it an excellent choice for cooler weather. You could even use this material for an overcoat, but I find it works beautifully as a suit. It has a rich British feel—both in texture and insulation—which makes it perfect for the season.

The Trousers: Side Adjusters, Suspenders, and Pleats

Moving on to the trousers, I opted for suspenders today. I love wearing them because they keep the trousers sitting just above the natural waist, creating a long, elegant leg line. I also added a single reverse pleat, which allows for extra comfort and a slightly roomier fit. While pleats are a matter of personal preference, I enjoy them for their style and functionality.

One of the standout details on these trousers is the coin pocket. Traditionally, this was known as a watch pocket, but these days, I use it for small essentials—like supplements. The side adjusters add another level of customization, ensuring a snug fit without the need for a belt.

The Accessories: Tie, Watch, and Pocket Square

For accessories, I paired my suit with a crisp white shirt and a black grenadine tie from my friends at Aklasu. The texture of the tie adds a bit of dimension to the overall look, and since it's woven in Italy, the craftsmanship is top-notch.

On my wrist, I’m wearing a vintage Seiko from the 1980s. It’s a quartz movement piece, and while I don’t know too much about it, I love the square face—it’s a new addition to my collection and a style I’ve been experimenting with.

The Footwear: Classic Loafers

For shoes, I went with my favorite pair of loafers. These have been a staple in my wardrobe for years—I’ve had them resoled two or three times already. They’re comfortable, versatile, and only get better with age.

The Pocket Square: A Touch of Personal Design

Finally, I added a pocket square—one that I recently designed. It features multiple patterns, allowing for different styling options depending on the outfit. I love pocket squares with a subtle border detail because when folded into the pocket, they add depth and dimension to the look.
