It’s been about a week of growing and my stubble is starting to come in nicely. When deciding to grow a beard, remember you have to make a commitment to the growth period. Typically at this stage most guys will shave off their facial fuzz for one reason, they can’t stand the itch!
With that being said, there are ways to combat the initial irritations of beard growth. Personally, I get these red bumps around the bottom of my beard just around my neck. This is one of the most common problem areas for guys, but typically goes away in a couple of days. One product that I use to aleve the itchiness is Aloe Vera gel. Aloe Vera is a good antibacterial/anti-inflammatory agent that helps soothe and heal skin inflammations. I usually apply a small amount to the affected area and allow my skin to absorb it.
Lastly, just allow your beard to grow! Do not shave it at all and allow the hair to get some length. This will give you a chance to determine how much hair your face can produce!
