Our Art Director chats with us about his classic utilitarian style and how he tells stories with his camera
. . . . .
What do you do outside of Mr. Cavaliere?
I’m a freelance lifestyle photographer and educator at Lululemon. I love to sweat, rock climb and cycle.
What’s your background and where were you born?
My background is Scottish but I’d consider myself Canadian before anything else, born in Mississauga.
How would you describe your style?
My style is laid back with a bit of 50s/60s influence. I like pieces that don’t say too much on their own but can complete a look when going out or simply running to the store. Functional pieces are a big portion of my wardrobe.
Who is your Style Icon?
Steve McQueen has got to be my style Icon, right now though Harry Styles is up there for me.
One thing people may not know about you?
I honestly love history, specifically between 1914 and 1990.
What are the top 3 places on your bucket list?
Australia, Norway and Alaska.
If you had to eat one dish for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Quesidelia’s, there’s just so much you can do to them to change them up every day.
If you could hang out with one person dead or alive, who would it be?
I’d love to sit down with Casey Neistat – the way he lives his life and insight, and not to mention how much fun he has everyday – I’m sure I’d take a lot away from that conversation!
What are your 3 favorite Instagram accounts?
Lastly, what type of content can we look forward to seeing from you?
I want to produce a lot of images that tell a story. Not just about clothes or a coffee shop, but about the people involved and how the image of themselves is captured across a set of photos.
