What originally got you interested in the nightlife industry?
When I was a young boy, I remember watching movies with my friends and always being captivated with nightlife scenes. As I grew up, for some reason those clips from those films stayed with me and from that moment on I knew I wanted to be a part of that world. It actually wasn’t until I started attending events in my late teens when I knew I wanted to produce and host my own events. The rest is history.
How has being a notable figure in Toronto nightlife effected the way you dress?
Being a notable figure in Toronto nightlife has its responsibilities when it comes to fashion. It is very important to set the tone and dress your best no matter the occasion. Whether it is a high-end gala or an edgy street style party, I find people will follow in your footsteps, so I like to always set a good example. I always tell guys that you can never be overdressed.
Describe your style
Classic and contemporary
What got you interested in menswear in the first place?
Ever since I can remember, I have been intrigued by art. Whether it was music, interior design, fashion or artistic creations, these forms of art and the people behind them inspired the way I dress.
You feel your best when wearing..
Anything by Rick Owens, because it fits my body perfectly and is extremely minimal.
What is your favorite item in your wardrobe?
Rick Owens DRKSHDW Prisoner Pant. It’s essentially a refined sweat pant. They are really comfortable and versatile as you can rock them with a blazer and dress it up or dress it down with a biker jacket.
How do you approach getting dressed every day?
There is no approach really. I dress very instinctually.
What is your sartorial pet peeve?
To me, fashion is a way to express yourself, so I guess my pet peeve is when people just settle for the generic.
Favorite brand or retailer?
You guessed it; Rick Owens.
Who or where do you get your style inspiration?Mostly from people on the streets of Paris and New York.
