As you may have seen on my Instagram or Snapchat (MrCavaliere), a couple of my favorite bloggers and I were invited to a special event in Montreal, called ALT COURT.ALT COURT is an event put on by National Bank that celebrates the upcoming Rogers Cup tennis tournaments happening in Montreal and Toronto. ALT COURT celebrated tennis, while embodying contrasting elements one would never find on a traditional court. For example, a tennis court is filled with total silence. At ALT COURT, we found the well-known DJ, Ryan Hemsworth. On the court, there are uniforms. At ALT COURT, we celebrated individuality. On the tennis court, you play inside the lines. At ALT COURT, we experienced massive art and installations that celebrated colouring outside the lines. The ALT COURT event also featured various light installations throughout the space, along with art by pénélope et chloë and Etienne Dufresne. There were also many opportunities to have some child-like fun including a ball pit, one giant table tennis game for up to 10 people, and vintage-style video games.Last, but not least, there were various unique performances throughout the night from the Tentacle Tribe. The Canadian-Swedish Tentacle Tribe, is a Montreal-based dance company that is led by Emmanuelle LêPhan and Elon Höglund.Below is a visual recap of the night’s events, as well as a video clip to give you a BTS scenes look at the amazement that we were fortunate enough to experience at ALT COURT:IMG_7862IMG_8131IMG_8170IMG_8309IMG_8355IMG_8409_C1A0012_LRIMG_8717alt1_C1A0104_LR_C1A0040_LRIMG_8746_C1A0035_LRIMG_9499edits hi-res_47I want to thank National Bank for having me and for the remarkable experience.
