My Top 3 Favorite Collections at Toronto Men’s Fashion Week (TOM*)

Toronto Men’s Fashion Week is officially over and what a week it has been! From avant-garde runways shows, to innovative fashion technology, and even the newly created Emerging Menswear Designer of the year Awards (EMDA), we can now say that TOM* was a success. As much as each show had its own flare there are always those shows that cater to your style aesthetic which make them unforgettable. For that reason I wanted to highlight the three shows that stood out in my mind.

Christopher bates

Christopher Bates Toronto Men's Fashion Week

Christopher Bates is one of the more notable names at TOM* and when you view his collection you can understand why. Bates designs clothes for men who are in the prime of their life. From his premier model selection to his beautiful knitted garments, Christopher bates has found the perfect medium between traditional elegance and a modern feel.

HD Homme

HD Homme Toronto Men's Fashion Week

Hussein Dhalla knows exactly what “Black tie optional” means and showcased it in his Spring/Summer  2015 collection at TOM*. From perfectly tailored dinner jackets, to bold metallic suiting, Hussein showed us how to look impeccable when attending a formal Gala.

Sons of Odin

Probably the overall favourite of the week, Zakariah Milana and Charlene Martin of Sons of Odin put on a modern master class that even Kanye West would admire. From floral motorcycle jackets to quilted biker trousers this rugged rebellious collection was truly a stand out!

Overall I want to thank TOM* for having the Mr. Cavaliere team as well as the various designers who are pushing the envelope of men’s fashion forward.

 Yours truly,

Mr. Cavaliere
