The Essentials List Part 5: Sunglasses

The Essentials List Part 5: Sunglasses

Sunglasses are one of those things that can either bring your look to the next level or kill an outfit all together. Therefore choosing the right frame and shape is tough because there are multiple factors all guys must consider. First off, you want to get lenses that have the proper UV protection. Typically cheaper glasses that you can buy at H&M or the ones you get for free at concerts have absolutely no UV protection and are actually harmful to your eyes.

Secondly, you want to take a look at your style. When choosing sunglasses, going for a more versatile style will benefit your wardrobe. For example if you wear suits all the time and work in a corporate setting, choosing a black or grey frame would be a better option for your Monday to Friday.

Thirdly, you want sunglasses that sit properly on your nose. The bridge is the space that connects two lenses together and should accommodate the top of your nose. Most of the time guys will wear sunglasses that either sit too high or too low which changes the way people will view your face.

Now I know what you’re thinking: which style should I choose? For that reason I put together a list of 3 styles that will work on almost anyone.

Club Masters

Probably my personal favorite, club masters are a prepster’s eyewear of choice. In my opinion, wear a pair of club masters if you want to stand out from a crowd and add an air of intellectualism to your look.

Aviators

Think Tom Cruise in Top Gun. These are one of the most popular styles out there as they have been seen on the faces of everyone from Hollywood heroes, to rock stars and military generals. Let’s put it this way: aviators have a long rooted history in making you look like a badass.

Wayfarers

Wayfarers are probably the most versatile sunglasses out there. They work on any shape face, can be worn with anything, and come in a variety of colors and patterns to suite your own style.

One of my favourite places to buy sunglasses online is SmartBuyGlasses.com. They have a variety of styles, brands, and price points that suite anyone’s budget. They also have a 24 month sunglasses warrantee and their customer service is top notch! As an added bonus on every purchase they include a free lens cleaning kit so you can keep your new shades looking fresh every time you wear them!

Last but not least just because that song by Corey Hart says you can wear your sunglasses at night…don’t, please don’t!

Yours truly,

Mr. Cavaliere
