Incorporating Floral

Summer has finally arrived and it’s time to slowly adapt your wardrobe from spring cool to summer heat. As the temperature starts to rise, so should the color in your outfits; and what better way than with a coral floral printed shirt!

If you are a frequent reader of the blog, you may have noticed a trend when it comes to my inspiration at the moment. Prints are the biggest trend in menswear this season and floral is definitely one of my favourites.

Incorporating Floral loafers

Floral is one of those prints in menswear that should be styled with caution. It’s amongst the boldest of the print family and due to its feminine roots; you have to take extra consideration in making it distinctly masculine. For this reason I paired a floral shirt with a navy unconstructed double breasted blazer, a plaid bow tie, a paisley pocket square, a nato strapped watch, crisp white denim, and blue snake skin printed loafers.

Incorporating Floral white pants

When mixing colourful prints like the floral shirt above, always keep the tones in the same colour family. This will allow other prints to blend in adding a visual dimension to your look, as well as making your outfit clean and sophisticated.
