As the weather cools and the leaves begin to change colour, I find my outfits are also following suit. Subconsciously I have found myself dressing in colour palettes of red, orange, beige, and brown and my only explanation is that winter is on its way.
My heavy weight blazers, such as this charcoal tweed windowpane blazer, have been in serious rotation with the mild air of late. If you haven’t already, I suggest you invest in a heavy weighted jacket whether it be a tweed or flannel, as they are great for keeping warm while still looking trim and dapper.
When buying your first tweed or flannel blazer, there are a couple of things you should look out for. Make sure the jacket is cut slim through the body, as many jackets on the market can have the right look but not the right cut. For starters, invest in a medium grey version as it will compliment basically anything you throw together with it.
For those of you that already have that basic grey tweed blazer, why not try a printed version this season. Whether it’s a speckled Donegal tweed or plaid patch pocket flannel, you won’t regret adding one or two jackets this season as they will without a doubt become a timeless favorite.
